Attached is the latest and great version of our Division Convention agenda. Please keep in mind that this is a living document and we will adjust as needed.

Additional notes:

  1. Registration is $30.00 and can be sent to us early or pay at the door.

  2. Program/Brochure/pamphlet - cost is $100 for full page and $50 for half page. Candidates, Posts, Units, Squadrons, Riders, etc... please send me the template of what you desire to be advertised soonest, but NLT 1 May 22.

  3. Lunch - various sandwiches will be provided

  4. Saturday meal - A fish fry meal will be prepared by SAL Squadron 208 after our memorial ceremony on 21 May, approximately 1800ish. At the moment, we do not have a guest speaker, but getting together for a meal and conversation is always a good thing.

  5. There will be various Legion Family fundraiser/drawings going on that will benefit our AL Family as well as the community

  6. Candidates for Department office - We understand that the 3d Division is on the same day and we will adjust our agenda and provide 5 minutes of speaking time as you arrive. If you can not make it, please provide us your resolution and I'll ensure it gets read.

  7. Zoom - We will be broadcasting on Zoom . . . .

Memo of 2022-02-17

Just a reminder of what we sent last month with the addition of the certification of delegates form.

The business portion of our Convention will take place at Post 208 in Kerrville, TX on Saturday, 21 May 2022. The ice-breaker will be Friday the 20th at the Post Canteen beginning at 1700. The agenda is still being worked, but our 1st Draft is attached and you will see, the plan is to begin at 0830 and adjourn NLT 1730. Around 1800-1830, a social event will take place at the Post. Registration fee is $35.00. ZOOM guidance/information will provided soonest.

We have blocked off rooms at the YO Hotel in Kerrville.
After adding tax and fees, the rooms are $123.17 a night.

As mentioned before, our overall membership has been on the decline for several years now, but with some effort and enthusiasm we can turn it around. I think we can and will double our membership as I challenge every one of you/us to recruit at least 1 member.

We think that conducting Buddy checks goes a heck-ava long way with retention, so please start and/or continue this meaningful gesture of concern & appreciation.
