I am a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving on a DE for two years off the coast of Vietnam, in the Gulf of Tonkin as well as numerous other locations while doing two tours of duty in Vietnam. I served as a Third Class (E-4) Boatswain Mate, 3rd in line of responsibility for a deck force of approximately 45 sailors. My other years were in San Diego and Long Beach. California.
After leaving the Navy in 1972, I returned to civilian life. I worked full time for Coca-Cola in San Antonio as the Sales Manager and attended night school pursuing my Bachelor' Degree in Management which was achieved in 1979. I worked for Coca-Cola for over 20 years.
I then went into the Commercial Insurance business where I stayed for over 30 years and retired in 2016 as a Regional Sales Vice-President. In this position, I managed a budget of over 20 million and supervised 12-15 individuals daily.
I served as President of the New Braunfels Jaycees and Area Vice-President for State of Texas Jaycees. I also served as President of the Northwest Crossing Homeowners Association for two years.
My wife, Molly, and I are both retired. She is the President of the Boerne Unit 313 Auxiliary. I am sure many of you will meet her as she does attend activities and functions with me. She was a military brat, so very acquainted with military life and Veterans.
I commit to give 100% as the District 21 Commander and am willing to answer any questions you may have of me.
